A Legacy of Service. A Commitment. A Call to Action.

Since 2011, Northern Belle has mobilized volunteers to meet both the immediate and long-term needs of women, families, and youth through hands-on service and advocacy. Service with us is not performative it is personal, purposeful, and rooted in respect. Many of the communities we serve include navigating crisis, transition, or vulnerability. To preserve dignity, confidentiality, and safety, no photos or videos are published from certain service initiatives. Volunteers are asked to honor this commitment as part of their service.

Some initiatives are shared exclusively with registered volunteers due to the sensitive nature of the populations we serve.

Dear Queen: Affirmation in Action (Her Way Collaboration)

The Dear Queen national letter-writing campaign, mobilizing hundreds of women to write affirmations to residents of the Harriet Tubman Women’s Shelter in Southeast D.C., paired with a toiletry drive addressing both emotional and tangible needs.
